Angela & Kingsley Gainsford
Angela & Kingsley are former New Zealand Dancesport Champions in Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue and Classical Sequence Dancing. Trained in NZ and England, Angela & Kingsley have danced and competed throughout Europe representing NZ at 7 World Championships - Denmark x2, Sweden, Italy, Canada, Belgium and Germany. Their World Ranking placed them in the top 17 over ten dances. For 3 years they were Guest Entertainers/Dance Teachers for P&O Princess Cruises America, they also taught and performed in Canada and America during this time.

Together they are Directors of North Shore Dance Centre and Gotta Dance Studio.

Jill Gibbons - Dancesport, Jazz, Lyrical


jill-150pxJill Gibbons grew up near Houston, Texas, where she studied jazz and ballet. She performed and competed with the Kingwood Fillies competitive jazz dance team, where she earned the USA national title for formation team dancing in 2002.

While at Brigham Young University between 2002-2007, she earned honors and high honors in her medals exams for International Ballroom and International Latin, as well as the American Rhythm and Smooth styles. She collected competitive Dancesport accolades in the ten international-style competitive ballroom dances, as well as the American-style dances. She also danced and toured for three years as a company member of the globally-competitive and world-renown BYU Ballroom Dance Company.

She trained in teaching ballroom dance under the pedagogy of the British Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, and has been teaching students of all ages since 2008.

Jill later moved to Seattle where she worked as a coach, team director, and choreographer at Bainbridge Ballroom (2009-2014), and later at Pacific Ballroom Dance from 2014-2018. Her students placed first at the USA NDCA Nationals and local competitions in all major divisions and categories. 


Garrett Gibbons - Dancesport

garrett-150pxGarrett Gibbons grew up near Seattle, Washington, where he studied tap and modern dance as a child. He later discovered ballroom dance while a University student at BYU, where he later graduated with a minor in Ballroom Dance. 

He earned honors and high honors in his medals exams for International Ballroom and International Latin, as well as the American Rhythm and Smooth styles. He collected competitive Dancesport accolades in the ten international-style competitive ballroom dances, as well as the nine American-style dances. Garrett danced and toured for four years as a company member of the globally-competitive and world-renown BYU Ballroom Dance Company.

Garrett trained in teaching ballroom dance under the pedagogy of the British Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, and has been teaching students of all ages since 2008.

Garrett later moved back Seattle where he worked as a coach, team director, and choreographer at Bainbridge Ballroom (2009-2014), and later at Pacific Ballroom Dance from 2014-2018, where he was both the Artistic Director and a youth team director. His students have placed first at the USA NDCA Nationals and local competitions in all major divisions and categories.
